Which files work?

Ebooks: .epub (including Kobo .kepub) and .pdf. Audio: .m4b, .m4a, .mp3, .flac, .wav, .aiff. No ebook? Turn on Audio only and Witbound writes the book from the narration, chapter by chapter.

Why won’t my Audible or Kindle file open?

Audible (.aax) and Kindle-store books are copy-protected, and the law forbids breaking those locks, so Witbound never will. DRM-free sources work beautifully: Libro.fm, Downpour, LibriVox, Standard Ebooks, Project Gutenberg, and your own CD rips.

How long does syncing take?

A few minutes per hour of audio, on your iPhone. It runs best while charging. You can leave the app: progress is saved chapter by chapter, and a retry resumes where it stopped. You can start reading as soon as the first chapter is done.

Popular editions are often ready in seconds through community sync. The free Mac app syncs a long book in minutes and sends it to your phone.

What’s free, and what’s Plus?

Your first imported book is free, synced in full. A sync that fails doesn’t use it up. Witbound Plus is a one-time purchase that unlocks every book. Nothing renews.

Have an older subscription? It keeps working until you cancel it in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Refunds and restoring

Purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds: reportaproblem.apple.com. Use Restore purchases on the paywall if Plus doesn’t show up on a new phone.

Bought on Google Play? Refunds go through Google Play, and Restore purchases on the paywall brings Plus back on a new Android phone.
